Combining logic gates - boolean algebra, Computer Engineering

Assignment Help:

More complicated logic circuits can be made byconnecting a number of simple logic gates. How do we decide how to connect the gates togive a particular function e.g. output Y?We need some methods or 'tools' to designmore complicated circuits. One of these design tools is called Booleanalgebra.

Boolean algebra

Boolean algebra is a mathematical method based on human reasoning. In Boolean algebra only 2 states exist; true and false which are written as 1 (true) and 0 (false). Boolean variables can only take one of these two values. The basic laws of Boolean algebra govern how an expression can be manipulated.
