Cholagouge action and Absorptive function of bile

Cholagouge action: Bile acts as its own stimulus. Bile salts are absorbed from the intestine, carried to the liver and stimulate further bile secretion.

Absorptive function: Presence of bile in the small intestine is needed for the absorption of vitamin K and digested fat.
