Yes. Usually the standard disc rotating motors are of the synchronous form, very reliable, and geared to the most sufficient speed. The problem is as, though individually these motors work well, is difficult to make two or more act in ideal synchronization with each other without additional electronic or mechanical gear.
A simple micro switch and a sufficient wiring can make any number of synchronous motors operate at similar time in perfect step. Several manufacturers offer a variable speed synchronizer to control their illuminators along with special motors, electronic control gear and zero settings.
