Calculate the initial angular acceleration , Mechanical Engineering

Assignment Help:

Question:

1.   A dump truck is shown in the figure.  The loaded container has a mass of  8000 Kg and may be modelled as a solid homogeneous block. The hydraulic cylinder applies a force of 300 kN to the container in the starting position shown. Calculate the initial angular acceleration α of the container for the following conditions:

a.   if the truck is not moving,

b.   if the truck has a forward acceleration of  3 m/s2.
