Q. Basic working of Hard Disk Drive?

This is one of the components of today's personal computer having a capacity of order of quite a lot of Giga Bytes and above. A magnetic disk has to be mounted on a disk drive before it can be used for writing or reading of information. A disk drive comprises all electrical, mechanical and electronic components for holding one or more disks and for reading or writing of information on it. Which is that it contains central shaft on which the disks are mounted, access arms, read/write head and motors to rotate disks and to move access arms assembly. These days disk drive assembly is packed in very small casing though having very high capacity.
