Backup - restore utilities, Database Management System

Assignment Help:

These are designed to reduce the effects of a database failure and make sure a database is restored to a consistent state if a failure does arise. Manual backup/restore utilities need the user to initiate the backup, whereas automatic utilities will back up the database at regular intervals without any intervention from the user. Proper use of a backup/restore utility permits a DBMS to recover from a system failure reliably and correctly.
