Applications of Hall Effect:
(i) To determine whether semiconductor is of n type or p type.
(ii) To determine carrier concentration.
(iii) Measurement of carrier mobility.
(iv) To measure carrier conductivity.
(v) To detect and measure strength of magnetic field using hall effect magnetometers.
(vi) As hall voltage VH is proportional to product of B and I we have another application known as Hall Effect multiplier. We can obtain the product of two signal where I is made proportional to another signal.
Connect the 2 kHz (sin ωt) signal to input A of the "Adder" module Connect input B to ground (GND). Connect the outputof the"Adder"(GA+gB) to input A-CH1 of "Scope Selector".
