Application of the four major business functions essential.

For example:

Human Resources: The recruitment and on-going training of non-teaching (support)  and teaching staff

Finance: distribute budgets for the year's spending on items such as equipment, books, improvements and repairs. They might also seek additional sources of financial support such as government assistance. There will also be a necessitate to account for all revenues and costs (expenditure) of the school.

Marketing: schools need to attract customers (parents and their Children (students)). This might be done through means such as offering a broad and wide opportunities and enriching curriculum (such as extra-curricular activities). Public promotion and relations (such as informing parents and the community about exam results) will also be important.

Operation Management: the major output in schools is the stipulation of lessons (learning). Other operations might consist of the hiring out of school resources for outside agencies.
