Advantages of three phase system over single phase system
a) Rotating magnetic field can be set up, by passing three-phase current by stationary coils.
b) Polyphase system is extra capable and reliable than single - phase system.
c) Parallel operation of three - phase alternators is easy as compared that of single- phase alternators due to of pulsating reaction in single- phase alternators.
Therefore, three-phase operation is not as practical for domestic applications where motors are mainly smaller than 1 kW and where lighting circuits supply most of the load.
Explain New Terms for Describing Motion As mentioned in the last chapter, the mass of a cannonball is a measure of the amount of matter (in kilograms) that would balance agains
The wrench shown in the figure is designed for access to the bolt at O. The wrench lies in a vertical plane and a horizontal force of P27 (as in question 14) is applied at A perpe
What do you mean by transformer ratio? A current of 2A is passed through a coil of 1000 turns to produce a flux of 0.5µwb. Determine the self inductance of the coil.
A dual-wavelength spectrometer uses 780 nm and 830 nm. The molar extinction coefficients for oxy-hemoglobin (HbO 2 ) and deoxy-hemoglobin (Hb) at these two wavelengths are: e_HbO 2
Biasing Network and Resistor RG Biasing Network (Rs and Cs): JFET is self-biased by using the biasing network R s -C s . Desired bias voltage is obtained when d.c.
