Advantage of Repeaters
Repeaters provide the advantage of increasing type size of LAN or connecting LAN segments. Repeater can overcome 10 base 5 Ethernet LANM restriction as length is limited to 500m. Placing a repeater allow another such cable to be connected to the existing LAN.
A default route is used if there is not a particular entry in the routing table for the destination.
