Assignment
The main structure of your essay, the frame from which everything else hangs, consists of two elements, the thesis of your essay and the topic sentences that start your body paragraphs. They represent what you are demonstrating in your essay or your central opinion (the thesis) and your arguments that support it (topic sentences). In this activity you will write these important elements for your first formal essay. Below are two videos explaining how to compose them. Watch the first one, and write your thesis in the text box; then watch the second one, and write topic sentences that support it in the text box.
Step I: Watch the video on composing a thesis:
Step II: Read the prompt for the first essay (prompt for review), and compose a thesis that addresses the prompt--in other words, a thesis that states an opinion about how well past authors predicted AI. Take some time with this to get it right; it is just one sentence, but it is the core sentence of your essay. When you have it, type it into the text box below. Get the instant assignment help.
Step III: Tell ChatGPT you are writing an essay about how well past authors predicted AI. Then tell ChatGPT your thesis is (insert your thesis). Then ask ChatGPT to offer suggestions about your thesis. Post the result (labeled Chat GPT's thesis suggestion).
Step IV: Compose three topic sentences that state reasons your thesis is valid. Type those below your thesis in the text box.
Once you have done this, you will have a strong outline for your first formal essay!
Step V: If you revised your thesis, tell ChatGPT your new thesis. Tell Chat GPT three of your topic sentences are (include your topic sentences), then ask it to offer suggestions on your topic sentences. Post the result (labeled ChatGPT's topic sentence suggestion).
