Recent years have seen an alarming increase in young white men committing hate crimes. This worrying tendency indicates that these folks are moving increasingly radically. Many young white boys face marginalization, and isolation is one of several variables contributing to this. They could also think they have anything to do or that acting is necessary to promote their goals. However, whatever the underlying causes, this problem must be fixed. In recent years, it has become clear that young white guys are the primary source of intolerance and hatred in society. This crime is brought on by entitlement, social media and online presence, future instability and worry, and desensitization to violence. However, this problem must be resolved, regardless of the underlying causes. (Gillis, W., 2022)

The first aspect causing this issue is that white males have historically had the more extraordinary privilege in our culture, which is accompanied by a sense of entitlement. Therefore, they may react angrily if they believe their privilege is in danger. An attitude of entitlement has been ingrained in many young white guys. They have heard throughout their lives that they are the best and deserve only the finest. Therefore, they could feel furious and resentful if they do not obtain what they desire. According to the Canadian police survey on youth gangs, there are 434 youth gangs, and Ontario is in first place with 216 gangs. Most members (approximately 48%) are under 18 and male. (Public Safety Canada, 2022) Second, social media and the internet have given young white men a forum to spread their toxic ideologies. These opinions used to be reserved for small circles of like-minded people. However, they may now reach a considerably larger audience due to the internet.

Thirdly, young white guys are beginning to feel more uneasy and insecure. They are confronting an uncertain future in a world that is getting more diverse. It might cause people to feel resentful and hostile against others they believe are robbing them of their privilege. Young white guys face much pressure to achieve. They frequently hear that they must support their families and act as the primary breadwinners. This may cause a great deal of worry and anxiety, resulting in intolerance and hatred. One of the most effective ways to solve this issue is to create projects that help young white guys feel like they belong. These programmes could offer guidance, support, and mentorship. They could also help young men develop a solid sense of their identity. Isolation is a concern that must be addressed as well. Many young white guys think their experiences are unique or that they are the only ones who have specific ideas. They need to know they are not alone and that there are exactly like them, so it is essential to convey that. Finally, we need to address the extremism issue. Many young white males are turning extremist because they think they have no other choice. They could believe they are being persecuted or that their way of life is jeopardized. We must show them that using violence is not the only choice and that there are other options. We need to give them a constructive way to express their inconveniences and concerns. Otherwise, The problem of young white men committing hate crimes cannot be resolved. (Gillis, W., 2022)

We cannot deny that this youthful generation has committed a disproportionate number of these assaults in recent years and must be considered. They are more likely to have grown up in hostile and violent surroundings, which might be one cause. Another explanation is that in cultures that are getting more varied, people are more prone to feel like they have something to lose. Regardless of the causes, young white males must contribute to the solution rather than the issue.
