Assignment - Religion Ethical Dilemma Mishandling of Funds Paper
Description - As ministry leaders shepherd others, they will encounter various challenges that will require God's wisdom. Thankfully, they can say with the psalmist that God's word "is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path" (Ps. 119:105 [ESV]). Of course, as ministry leaders seek to apply biblical truths to ethical dilemmas, they will need to prayerfully seek the enabling power of God's Spirit to lead them in their ethical decision-making process.
Part One: Research
In preparation for writing this paper, you will need to choose a case study on an ethical dilemma from throughout Ethical Dilemmas in Church Leadership: Case Studies in Biblical Decision Making. If the case is not from the Ethical Dilemmas in Church Leadership: Case Studies in Biblical Decision Making, you will need to get approval from your instructor on the case study you want to use.
Examples of ethical dilemma case studies are case studies involving sexual abuse (as discussed in the textbook for the course), domestic abuse, mishandling of funds, etc. The case study could be an ethical dilemma you have personally faced or are facing in ministry, or it could be a case study you have come across in your reading or research for the course.
Also, you will need to research and choose an ethical decision-making model throughout Ethical Dilemmas in Church Leadership: Case Studies in Biblical Decision Making to apply to the case study. If the model is not from the Ethical Dilemmas in Church Leadership: Case Studies in Biblical Decision Making, you will need to get approval from your instructor on the ethical decision-making model you want to use.
Note: In Ethical Dilemmas in Church Leadership: Case Studies in Biblical Decision Making, Milco calls his ethical decision-making model an ethical decision-making tower.
Research the ethical dilemma you selected to determine the potential consequences of not handling the situation with biblical wisdom and integrity. Also, research how to apply your selected ethical decision-making model to the case study along with biblical principles of wisdom and integrity.
Part Two: Synthesis
Using the Turabian template found in the Student Success Center, write about the ethical dilemma case study and the ethical decision-making model you chose, with the following:

The thesis statement(s) should not simply present the overall flow of thought for the paper; instead, it should articulate a position one should take in handling the case study with biblical wisdom and integrity.
Potential Consequences - Explain the potential consequences of not handling the case study selected with biblical wisdom and integrity.
Application of Model - Explain how to apply your selected ethical decision-making model to the case study selected, emphasizing how to apply biblical principles with wisdom and integrity in order to navigate the ethical challenge well.

Briefly restate the thesis and the ways the paper goes about supporting the thesis.
Briefly summarize the key points within the potential consequences and application of model sections of the paper. The conclusion should not introduce new ideas into the paper.
