Instructions:
For your final I would like you to choose a current band or artist who has been active in the last 15 years to write about. This can be any style, including jazz or classical, instrumental or vocal. Preferably someone not covered in our readings.
If it is someone we covered that you would like to write more about, please check with me first. Your paper should be 2-3 pages long, double spaced, 12 point font, standard margins.
In your paper tell me about the band or artist's background, their style, influences (particularly anyone that we studied), recordings, popular songs, what you like about them, as well as anything you don't like about them.
I would like to know how you came to discover this band. Tell me about their touring schedule.
How often do they perform, where, big venues or small ones? Have you ever seen them perform live?
What sort of instrumentation do they use: piano, guitar, horns, etc?
