Question: Making a Referral This discussion has two parts.

Part 1: For the first portion of this discussion, consider a client or student with whom you have been working who appears to need additional services to augment your counseling efforts. Write a very brief description of the client, his or her situation, and why you think the client needs additional services. Then, write a short letter of referral (a maximum of three concise paragraphs) to the appropriate professional or agency in your community, expressing the need for a referral for this student or client. The letter should be professional, concise, and specific, remembering that you do not tell the professional how to do his or her job.
