Assignment - Write a technical Report
Assignment Overview: Using your proposal assignment, you will write a formal recommendation report in which you analyze your topic and make a recommendation to your audience. The report will compare two to three products. These products will be analyzed by using the purchasing parameters outlined in your proposal and by using primary and secondary research. After you have analyzed the products, you will make a recommendation based on the research presented in your report. Please write at the non-technical level.
Technical Report Requirements:
Below are the components you will include in your technical report. The body of the report (i.e. main chapters) will be approximately 5 pages in length. The total report will be approximately 10-12 pages in length. Please single-space your writing.

Based On the proposal created earlier by my (attached) .write a technical Report following instruction in the Report Assignment Brief file. Five weeks will be dedicated to writing the report, and classes will be workshop-style. Most classes will begin with a lesson which outlines section requirements and expectations. In addition, report exemplars will be presented and analyzed. You will use the remaining time after each lesson to work on the particular section that has been taught. To adhere to the deadlines, you will also need to work on the report outside of class. As you continue to attend the in-class lessons, you will receive additional handouts about section requirements.
The report has been broken into the following stages: Main chapter submission (5%), A hard copy of one main chapter will be submitted in week 11. Prefatory chapter submission and Consultation (5%) A hard copy of your prefatory section will be submitted in week 12 when you attend your report consultation. Technical report final submission (25%) and Letter of transmittal (5%) A hard copy of your report will be submitted by the end of class in week 13. The letter of transmittal will be graded individually- rubric will be posted on Blackboard when the lesson is taught.
Submission Details: Submit a hard copy in class on 17, by 1:00 PM. You will also submit an electronic copy via SafeAssign on Blackboard. Assignments not submitted via SafeAssign will not be graded even though a hard copy was submitted. Late assignments will incur a penalty of -10% per day. Plagiarized assignments will result in a grade of zero.
Unit Overview, Tentative Key Dates: Week 9: Lesson on writing the main chapters. Week 10: Writing period. Week 11: Lesson on writing the prefatory and supplementary chapters. Submit a main chapter for feedback and for 5%. Week 12: Report consultations (attend at your scheduled time- see Blackboard). Submit your prefatory chapter for feedback and for 5%. Week 13: Reports are due.
Level headings in all sections and are consistent throughout the technical report. Page numbers appear throughout report and are paginated correctly (i.e. prefatory sections- Roman Numerals, remaining sections- Arabic Numerals) Report is written at the non- technical level; audience is accommodated. At least 5 graphics appear in the technical report and are formatted and placed correctly. Definitions appear throughout report and are accurately written-- glossary contains sentence definitions and definitions are arranged in an alphabetical order. 0-1 error(s) has/have been made with sentence structure, punctuation, and spelling. All principles of technical writing appear within report (i.e. lists, parallelism, simple sentences, reducing wordiness, omits expletives, colon etc.). 0-1 error(s) has/have been made with documentation style. Systematic, in-depth, thorough analysis of topic: descriptions are provided, where necessary, logical ordering and analysis. Covered all/most requirements of assignment: contains introduction, discussion, recommendation, and conclusion.
