Visual Arts in Early Childhood
Assessment Objective
Pre-service teachers will compile a portfolio of their own art creations undertaken throughout this unit (ULO1; ULO2), along with reflective comments discussing their own artistic processes including their artistic choices, mediums, techniques and approaches (ULO3; ULO4; ULO5).
At the end of each example, they will write a short explanation of how the artistic mediums, techniques and approaches can be applied to engage young children in the Arts (ULO3).
Assessment - Staged and Invigilated Artwork Portfolio
Students are required to complete artwork in class (within 1 hour) each week and upload pictures of their artwork every week to their portfolio from week 4 to week 12 (except week 10 and week 11 as no practical workshop required). In week 3, as students are required to do assessment 1 in the class, their artwork for this week will be done in week 10 in class. In week 12, students will have two hours in the class to edit all artworks they have done in class for their final submission. Teachers will collect their physical artwork every week to keep under students' portfolio. Please note that pictures are required to save as pdf file.
There are two parts of each week's assignment during a practical workshop. You are required to.
a) Assessment part A: Students will do practical workshops for one hour to finish their artwork that meet the requirement of each week class. In each artwork, students are required to explain their own artistic processes including their artistic cljoices, mediums, techniques and approaches (Min 100 words- max 300 words) Get online assignment help from Ph.D. experts!
