Assignment: Worldview Position Paper

Write a 2-4-page paper summarizing your worldview. Compare and contrast your worldview with an alternative worldview of your choice.

This paper should be written in a classic minimum of 5-paragraph essay format including an introductory paragraph with a purpose statement and a conclusion paragraph that summarizes the paper. This paper must be in APA format with a minimum of 2 references.

Describe the worldview you identify with and specifically what aspects of the worldview you identify with. In this portion of your paper you may use the first person when referencing examples of your beliefs, practices, etc. The entire paper should not be in the first person voice, however. Please also include references when referring to your own worldview as well.

Next, describe an alternate worldview and discuss how the alternate worldview is similar and/or is different from your own worldview. You must also use references for this section as well.

This paper should be supported by references to articulate your points. This paper is not simply a summary of your thoughts or opinions on these worldviews. There should be evidence that you understand the worldviews from the formal perspectives that are presented in your assigned reading and in class discussion.
