We are taking the healthcare facility for the research on the process to have a logging or database system for the ROI (Release of Information) request purposes. The facts should be comprehensive and appropriate for its proposed determination. While this sounds open, frequently it is not a laidback task in the multifaceted medical and authorized background in which the healthcare public works. Release of information (ROI) request management in healthcare is very important to the superiority of the stability of care delivered to the patient. It too shows an imperative role in research, billing, reporting, and other utilities. With steep penalties for violating HIPAA regulations related to the confidential transfer of protected health information (PHI), special attention should be given to the process and fulfillment of medical record requests, known as the "release of information (ROI)" process.

In the historical days, state laws or facility practice were the forces behind keeping a tracking log or database for release of information requests. Till the HIPAA confidentiality rule, there was no centralized law demanding a tracking tool for release of information patient requests. Under HIPAA, enclosed entities are mandatory to track releases of secure health information (PHI).
