Write a paper about the development pattern that has dominated post-World War II America, an auto-centric decentralized pattern of development disparagingly called "sprawl" by those who do not like it.

Topic: A decentralized development pattern, often pejoratively characterized as "sprawl," is the dominant feature of the post-World War II development pattern in the United States.

Decentralized development and the American love affair with the automobile have a symbiotic relationship. To many modern planners and to some developers, "sprawl" is a four letter word. To others, it is an essential element of the American psyche and way of life. I am providing you with some written materials defending, even celebrating, or attacking that development pattern.
