V1=18v
R1=4 ohms
R3 = 3 ohms

R2 = 12 ohms
V2 = 6V

R3 connects to point N in the center with current going upward and R1 is to the left of this at the top and then it down to V1, with the current going from R1 to V1. To the right you have R2 across from point N and then V2 is down from this. The current flows from R2 to V2.

a. Using KCL write an equation for the currents I1, I2, I3 at the node point N.

b. Express the KCL equation in step above in terms of VRIR and VnIR

c. Write a KVL equation for the loop containing V2, VR2, and VR3

d. Write a KVL equation for the loop containing V1, VR1 and VR3

e. Specify VR1 and VR2 in terms of VN and the known values of V1 and V2

f. Using the values for VR1 and VR2, from the step above write a KCL equation for the currents at the node point N

g. Solve for the node voltage VN

h. Using the equations from step e, solve for the voltage drops of VR1 and VR2

i. Calculate the currents I1, I2, and I3

j. Rewrite the KVL loop equation for both inner loop using actual voltage values.

k. Based on the actual values for I1, I2 and I3 write the KCL equation for the currents at the node point N.
