The podcast is called Revisionist History and there is an episode in Season 3, Episode 4 called "Free Brian Williams" where he explores how our memory can be altered by external narratives, using Brian Williams as his subject. In case you are not familiar Brian Williams claimed to have been in a helicopter which was shot down in 2003 in Iraq (Gladwell, 2022).

However, as it turned out, he was not on the helicopter that was shot down but one that arrived an hour after the incident (Gladwell, 2022). His mind had created a false memory and his story was debunked by a soldier who was actually on the helicopter that was shot down (Gladwell, 2022). Basically, Williams was discredited and fired as a result, the podcast questions whether he was treated fairly for something that happens to us all. Would you agree with Brain Williams treatment?
