Assignment

In amid to decrease child mortality rates in the scenario given, the researcher will explore the reason as to why parents in North Africa find it rather difficult to go through the free immunization process rather than allow their children to die. Hence, the researcher will develop a program evaluation to ascertain the reason as to why the current program is not working and what remedial actions needs to be taken to address the situation imminently (McDavid, Huse, & Hawthorn, 2013).

To obtain reliable and effective information as to why parents refuse the free immunization and under what circumstances they would accept the immunization, the researcher will use a mixed methods approach to obtain as much information and data as possible. Participants will be chosen randomly and would be drawn from different groups to include pregnant women, fathers and other family members. Qualitatively, participants will be interviewed informally and from a quantitative perspective statistics regarding the death toll of children and the causes will be compared to the other regions of the country.

Upon obtaining the information from participants, it will be interpreted by different sources to diminish biasness (Centers for Disease Control, 2009). The findings and recommendations will then be communicated to the Center for Disease and Prevention Control to assist in developing a new program or amending the current one so as to see more parents getting their children immunized to prevent death.
