Question: For me, one of the main takeaways is understanding that when an ACL is set up, it is imperative to understand the order of commands. The other interesting point brought up in the video was the wildcard mask. The wildcard mask needs to be set as the opposite of the subnet mask. For example, if the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, then the wildcard mask should be 0.0.0.255. If you want to specify a specific IP address, then the wildcard mask would be 0.0.0.0. It is important to remember wildcard mask is a sequence of numbers that enhance packet routing within the subnets of that network. So when a packet arrives at the gateway that packet is routed to its destination using a subnet number. The wildcard mask is a strand of binary digits shown over the subnet number, telling the router which parts of the subnet number to use.
