Think of a human issue/behavior for the critical thinking paper that you might actually care about. Why do you think people engage in this issue/behavior. Then look at it through the lens of two of the contemporary perspectives (theories) of psychology.

For example: Why do people cheat in college?

a. biological: elevated levels of the stress hormone cortisol are correlated with cheating/or

b. psychodynamic: because the id demands gratification and cheating is a way to get what I want/ or

c. behavioral: because I observed others cheating and learned that usually they get away with it/or

d. cognitive: because I have negative/irrational thoughts about my self esteem and my need to succeed/or

e. humanistic: (this is a hard one for this topic), because I am trying to meet a need but, by cheating, I am not moving toward self-actualization/or cross cultural: because in our society cheating is not looked upon as wrong/or

f. evolutionary: because we have evolved to seek survival and cheating is one way to accomplish that

g. socio-cultural: because of the influence of others or society
