Question: Reflecting on concepts from chapter 8 (gender/family roles) and moving forward with content from chapter 11 (applied issues), the following two videos address roles and worldviews in an Indian culture and in an aspect of American culture. Be sure that you view both videos that are posted below, and then consider the following topics of contrast:

Topic 1. Roles of husbands and wives: Who is expected to do what between the spouses? Do family origin lines make a difference, and how?

Topic 2. Dominant breadwinners: Who is depended upon to make a living for the family? Does the setting (rural vs. urban) make a difference, and how?

Topic 3. Duties/roles of children: What kind of behavior is expected from the children according to their gender or setting?

Directions: Choose ONE (1) of the above topics, and then use your chosen topic to respond to all three (3) items below.

Your response should help you to identify the differences between the two cultures addressed in the two videos Support your response with one example from each video, and state whether or not you would agree with and be able to live in that cultural setting.
