The disease is characterized by a degeneration of the pyramidal neurons in the motor cortex of the brain as well as the degeneration of neurons originating in the anterior horn of the spinal cord. Upon examination, you notice atrophy of the right deltoid, coracobrachialis, and right quadriceps femoris muscles. Which nerve plexus(es) are being affected by the disease and why do you think so?
