After watching the assigned lecture: Learning to Eat Soup with a Knife: Lessons from Iraq for Afghanistan and Beyond and read the assigned reading: Lessons Learned: The Iraq Invasion, think about Strategic Intelligence, and how it is collected. We know there are many different ways to accomplish this. Instead of just 'thinking' about 'strategic intelligence', let's take a look at two real wartime examples- Afghanistan and Iraq.

Which Intelligence Collection techniques do you feel have been used to greatest effect in accomplishing the US objectives in the past wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? Let me hear what you have to say. I want examples such as HUMINT, SIGINT, IMINT, Drones, etc...
