Hoosier Burger
The development of Hoosier Burger's information system is nearing completion. At recent project meetings, the types of testing, training, documentation, and installation strategies appropriate for Hoosier Burger have been discussed. The end users have little computer experience and thus require several types of training and supporting documentation. Fred Jones, one of the project's team members, has recommended using a direct installation approach. Because Hoosier Burger's information system is relatively small, he feels that the direct approach is the best installation strategy to pursue. The new system could be installed at the beginning of the week and be up and running for the weekend traffic. However, Paula Freeman does not like this idea. She feels that a parallel approach is more appropriate. She worries that if the system crashes, it may be difficult to return to the old system.
a. What types of training will Hoosier Burger's end users need?
b. What types of documentation would you recommend for Hoosier Burger's end users?
c. Which installation strategy would you recommend pursuing?
d. What support issues should be considered?
Determine the output voltage over the pressure range, and plot versus p. You will see that the resulting voltage is more nearly linear.
Consider a situation where two microcontrollers are connected with a CAN network. Computer 1 generates 8-bit data packets that must be sent to Computer 2, and Computer 2 generates 8-bit data packets that must be sent to Computer 1
Predict how much time it would take a processor to access each memory location in a 64-bit address bus when the clock speed of the processor is 4 GHz and the memory speed is not the limiting factor
An AC induction machine has six poles and is designed for 60-Hz, 240-V (rms) operation. When the machine operates with 10 percent slip, it produces 60 N-m of torque.
The system has total capacitance CT = 1.0 muF (10 ^ 6 Farad) and average frequency in use at 10kHz. The transformation of battery power to power inn the microcontroller and additional components occurs with virtually no losses.
If vid is 20-mV peak-to-peak sine wave applied in a balanced manner but superimposed on VCM = 0.5 V, what is the value that VDD must have to ensure saturation-mode operation for Q1 and Q2 at all times. Assume Vt = 0.5 V.
Experiments have revealed that flow over the board is disturbed by the elements and that convection heat transfer is correlated by an expression of the form Nux = 0.4 Re0.85 Pr 1/3 . Estimate the surface temperature of the chip if it is dissipatin..
A firm leases land from you for 15 years to build a warehouse. As payment you will own the building after 15 years estimated to be worth $400k however you must pay taxes and maintenance of $15k per year.
Heat is removed from the inside surface at a uniform flux Use a simplified radiation model and write the heat equation and boundary conditions for one-dimensional steady state conduction.
A three-phase grounded wye-delta connected transformer supplies a load. The load voltage is 480 V (line-to-line), the loads are:Phase AB is 25 kW with power factor 0.8 lagging
A separately excited DC generator, when running at 1200 RPM, supplies 200A at 125V to a circuit ofconstant resistance. What will the current be when the speed is reduced to 1000 RPM if the field current remains unchanged
A block diagram and state graph for a divider for unsigned binary numbers is shown below. This divider divides a 16-bit dividend by a 16-bit divisor to give a 16-bit quotient.
