Formal Assessment Guidelines - Term Paper
Introduction
This assignment is an opportunity for each student to apply their cumulative knowledge from this course as they closely examine a nearly universal political phenomenon (violence).
Guidelines
Be sure to follow all formatting guidelines provided in the syllabus. Your final work product must have a cover page with a word count, an essay that is a minimum of 1000 of your own words (excluding cited information) and a works cited page.
The minimum research criteria requires citing three scholarly sources (articles from a peer-reviewed academic journal) and supplemental/additional sources for current events relevant to the topic.
Be sure to provide a proper citation in MLA or APA format for all works consulted on a separate works cited page If the minimum expectations are not met, the assignment will be marked incomplete. Completing this activity is a mandatory component of this course.
It serves as the standard course assessment for all students. Procrastination on this project has resulted in many students, who were otherwise passing, having to fail and repeat the course. Again, failure to complete this project in its entirety will result in a failing grade for the course.
