Client 33-year-old African American female diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder. Client has history of depressive bouts throughout middle childhood through college. Client has been able to navigate previous bout of depression with what she learned from previous therapy. Client is a recent divorcee after 11 years f marriage. Client husband ended marriage after having an affair. Client believes her absences for work are what led him to cheat and fall in love with someone else. The client states she often finds herself comparing herself to the other woman and looking up the other women's social media. Client reports spending most of her days lying in bed crying about her failed marriage. Client states she blames herself as to why her marriage did not work. Client is struggling with the thought of taking care of her 2 young children alone.
