As the U.S. population continues to age and lifespans continue to increase, mental health disorders will increase in the elderly population. Mental health issues are often under-treated because of the focus on treating other chronic health issues. In addition, it is assumed that loss of one's faculties is a natural part of the aging process. This means that dementia and Alzheimer's disease are not always recognized. After reading the text and performing internet research, post your thoughts on what will be the impacts of elderly health care delivery due to mental health disorders. Be specific in what you see the impacts to be and what you would do to address them.
