You must discuss:
Question 1• What is the injury? Specify the body part, type of injury, and severity of the injury (e.g., Grade II right lateral ankle sprain)
Question 2• Structures involved. What structures are injured; include both primary structures and secondary structures as applicable. For example: an MCL injury may also involve a medial meniscus injury.
Question 3• Mechanism of Injury (how the injury occurred). Describe both what the individual was doing when injured, and what forces caused the injury. For example, a basketball player landed on another player's foot while rebounding, resulting in inversion of the right ankle.
Question 4• Discuss the rehabilitation protocol. What must you consider in terms of safety in this program? Does age or gender influence rehabilitation? What are the typical protocols?
Question 5• What 3 exercises will you start with and why? Are there alternative exercises if the person is not able to perform the ones you chose due to pain?
Question 6• Provide information on how you would determine if the injured person can return to activity.
