CASE STUDY

Steve is an eight year old boy who enjoys playing sport and being outdoors. However, Steve's parents have noticed that he is prone to fractures in the bones of his limbs. At first, they put it down to playing contact sports such as rugby but are concerned that he has many more fractures than his team mates. They decide to take him to their GP. All organs of the body, including the skeleton are made up of cells and tissues.
