Throughout the text, Kincaid plays with inside/outside. For example, she talks about how "outsiders" like tourists and colonizers came to Antigua to take what they want; how "insiders" like Antiguans know the 'real' Antigua--how they are maybe even trapped ("inside") and don't have the conditions to leave the island. However, sometimes it's the Antiguans who she describes as the "outsiders". For example, she spends some time discussing the "Mill Reef Club", which is an institution that would be similar to what we would call an "all-inclusive resort" today. She also discusses schools and doctor's offices that are/were designed to exclude black Antiguans. Respond to one of these options:
