Assignment -

Guidelines for Individual Reflection Paper -

This paper provides a record of your personal and professional growth as a participant in the GMAN 319 trip to South Korea. The reflection paper should be based on insights you gained from readings, lectures, presentations, and company visits and other cultural aspects of the travel experience. Please answer the following three questions. The paper should be: no more than three pages (single-spaced, 12 point font, one-inch margins).

Questions:

1. What are the major similarities and differences between the US and Korean companies in terms of the strategy and management practices based on the lectures you attended, company visits and your readings? How are they transforming your understanding of management or how are they bringing about managerial innovation?

2. How is the broader context in South Korea different from that in the United States? Such as political, economic, social, cultural, technological, environmental, demographic or global changes that are different in South Korea from the US.

3. Please describe your personal growth as a result of your experience overseas. What experiences had the greatest impact on you? What experiences delighted you the most? What experiences troubled you the most?
