Question - Locate (by employing one of the electronic resources offered through Mullins Library such as "Journals" or "Databases") 2 (two) research reports published in Communication Studies journals that employed a sample and sampling method (most likely a study reporting findings from content analysis, survey or experiment). Your selections must be chosen from one or two of the following five journals (you should be careful to match your choice with the exact journal name):
Communication Monographs
Human Communication Research
Journal of Applied Communication Research
Journal of Communication
Management Communication Quarterly
Submit clear copies of (A) the first page of each study showing the author(s), article title, and name of the journal, and (B) the section or page of the report describing the sample and sampling method.
Answer separately the following questions for each study you selected.
(1) What sampling method was employed in each study?
(2) Would these be described as "good" samples? Why or why not?
(3) Was "sampling error" an issue in either study? Why or why not?
(4) Did each study report confidence intervals?
