The strike of Homestead, in Pennsylvania, was one of the powerful strikes and bloodiest in the history of America. Andrew Carnegie's the the steel company owner of the Scottish Immigrant behind this strike. America needs to shape the industrial this where start the struggle between worker and industrial. Who will win this victory and what price? America is reinventing as new a great new industrial power. The cities growing and people move to this country in search of opportunity. Working man and woman enter to a workplace, only a few people make money and getting rich.

This is where our conflict comes to working long hours and don't get paid enough. We need fight for our right. The number of immigrant from 1860-1890 about 10 million who came to America. We looking for brought America to everyone not only for few. We have found out who will work hard for coal and steel. The American rise of steel price is going up, Expand river. Andrew Carnegie is the about to be the riches man in the world. The only man to control the steel is carnage now he is contracting with New York real road. He bought the homestead 8 miles away from Pittsburg massive company. This is brutal for us to stay in hot and rain in homestead does not tree not shade. Carnegie is trying to destroy the union and will let us develop our unions.

Homestead ready to become the most technology in the nations. We can work seven days a week and 12 hours shift. The majority of us making $2 a day is not enough for expenses. Our sweat and hard work not getting paid enough. We have the right to negotiate for right. Andrew does not show us responsibility. He thinks he own us. We need to renew the contract. Lets put the contract for negotiations before expiration. We simply working in terrible conditions we will not work for $8-$10 a week.

Only a few of getting paid more even that is not significant. Woman workers getting pay less then $8 a week and children lesser than that. We are only allowed one time break during 12 hours shift for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Kids are getting sick because of the hard work. This is where a need to cut the long hours of work and demand for fair pay. Children should not work in the factory. We are skilled we can not only work at the factory but there are many other options. The steel company only hire kids woman to pay them less money. We are getting abuse if we make a mistake or hit by the belt and even dowsed with water. We can not take off while we are sick. Cleaning this machine is sometime is not easy. We can make by ourself new machines to generated mass product. Walk few miles everyday to come to work and no transportation.

We need better transportation that make easier for us to to come to work.

This is the industrial revolution is just start now such as iron textile. The volume and profit are increasing day by day. But we are the only people making these things to happen. Farming or steel factory are not only options for us. We can produce our food, clothing or furniture. This is the birth place of all kind of opportunity or us. We see the innovation increasing and productivity. We can produce coal for transportation and cost of transpiration will be cheaper to travel. As we know we need stell to make everything else such ship, building a railroad.

We have telegraph to talk and banks that we can finances. We can see how much change is happening in the world but now change in our work forces. We still live in poverty and low wage. We do not stand for our right we will stay poor and challenging to service. We are tired of low-wage and dangerous jobs. Our unskilled worker gets fired so fast with no job security. Children need to go school not work fo 10 cents and work in hazardous task and get sick. We need to have labor reform and need to have good unions. These hard work will affect our life and increase our level of stress. Our small farm needs to get attention from the government to make it modern. In order to keep our farmer at work need more supports. These many industries abuse us and keep our farmers out of the jobs.

We see Carnegie cut the wage for skilled about the %22 percent. This will be lower wage for everybody and he will become the person in the world. Ther is now the safety, job security for workers in the homestead steal factory. The is not only the first time he cut our wages it has been happening for the past decades. This salary will not cover our living expenses. We living in poverty, under pressure, our health is at risk.

Basically we killing our body for nothing, dust, smoke eventually will damage the lung. The company profit is very high but no correlation with our-our wages. The cost fo housing rising. The working area so hazardous to our health. No way that we can solve this big problem individually. We no longer want to work 12 hours shift only 8 hours shift. There is should be minimum weekly wage for us.

We need end child labor. We will not stop till we get our fair wage. There is the overcrowding apartment that needs to solve, with higher pay wage. We do not want to replace our skills worker from a factory. Will will be very successful and live a good life if homestead rais our wages. This conditions poor condition need to be over. We have been suffering long enough from terrible working conditions. We do not have the legal opportunity to solve problems.we need work injury compensation not gets fired when we get hurt. We need retirement plans so we do not live in poverty after retirement. Our house needs improvement with water pipes in the house. Carnegie sees that oppo uritis of larger workers and keep lowering the wages.

We need more than $600 per year to live comfortably. The government regulations do not pay attention for our health and wages. The homestead steel is money by hiring children or woman. Railroad and machine hard for women to operate. So man-children were killed and injured at the job.

Our live gets worst but Carnegie is getting rich day by day. All he want to do is cut our wages. He wants us to work longer then 10 hours a day. He never spends money fix the mills the the percent of death is increasing. So many machines exploded and killed kids and woman. With these conditions, he is cutting our wages. With tough condition Carnegie does not treat is good. He will be one of the underpaying business in America. What is why he keep making fortune with homestead steel.

He refuses to increase our pay. Carnegie even ignores to bargain with our union. He wants to hire the kids and woman to pay them less money. The poor environments already effect our health but Carnegie does not care about. He does not worry about working dangerous condition that we have at work. He will never want us to have retirement plans, higher wage, or good environment in the factory. As we know he is care about the accident happened in Carnegie steel. He is never in the Carnegie mill that knows about how the tough the situations are when we working. Seven days of working and he push us for longer hours.

We have to stand up for our rights, that is the only option for us. As an employee, we have the right to go to wait for strik till we see increased in our wages. We need better conditions for our work family. We can get a lose for couple week but not for years. There is not only one issue pursue us of the strike, but many. We want peaceful strike we don't want the bloody strike, we don't want violence or crime on our strike. We will strike for unfair labor and low wages and retirement plan. Beleive me will not lose our job but will-will have a better opportunity for settlement. We no longer want live in depression.

We could learn from this strike how the labor today. For example, form 1890 Australian Maritime that which give that the employee chance to fight for their rights. It was not the matter of winning or losing but it important that we defend from our rights. Another example, Great Railroad Strike of 2877 after Ohio, Baltimore cut the wage in one year twice. The employee had the to stop the train till cut wat restored. In Philadelphia, the workers burned the stock of the railroad and engines. We will not want a bloody strike. It will be very peaceful. We know the Neva Strike was one of the Russia economies that begins in 1870 that employment wanted rais only had small casualties.

Another strikes Fall River Massachusetts Textile Strike every industry must accused but cotton had severed conditions in paying too much tex. Was very hard for fall River to service from paying so much tax. These were of-of the strike that has some qualities, but here are some very successful strikes. The strike of 1877 the Great Railroad had some significants impact on companies. The Haymarket affair 1886 which happened very peaceful in Chicago to support the workers.

The government will have the right to become involved if the strike is bloody. We will strike in a peaceful way. We want increase in our wage, and retirement plans. Will need to make better the workers life we will hope the government will be on our side. The government had killed and shot many people in great railroad strike on 1877. They request help from the government. If we talk to homestead police that this will be very peaceful strikes.
