Question: Metabolic rate - Activity 1 (2.25 marks). Using the details from your volunteer in activity 1, answer the following questions. Please show your own work, and express all your answers with correct units and TWO digits after the decimal place.

Part A Basal metabolic rate (BMR). Using your volunteer's details from page 3, estimate their BMR using the appropriate equation:

(for female) kJ/min = (0.029 * Weight[kg]) + (0.018 * Height[cm]) - (0.0145 * Age[y]) - 0.468

(for male) kJ/min = (0.029 * Weight[kg]) + (0.018 * Height[cm]) - (0.0145 * Age[y]) + 0.0145

Part B. Compare BMR to RMR. Using the answer for BMR and the values on page 6 showing your volunteer's RMR, please explain in your words what each value represents. Why would you expect these values to be different? What real-world factors influence RMR?
