This assignment gives students an opportunity to apply two theoretical models to a client issue or client population challenge, and to assess the value and ethical implications of both theories.

Please cite at least one outside source for each theory (textbook, theoretical article from the readings, etc.)

1. Provide an assessment of whether you think there is a preferred theory for understanding the client issue / client population challenge.

2. With your particular client / client population in mind, what potential ethical issues might arise in terms of the theories you considered?

Reference specific practice sections of the NASW Code of Ethics (2008) as appropriate, to discuss examples.

For example, confidentiality needs to be addressed and so you would reference Section 1.07 Privacy and Confidentiality of the NASW Code of Ethics (2008).
