The patient should know that the most crucial step is adhering to the recommended treatment schedule. Triple therapy, which comprises a PPI, Clarithromycin, and Amoxicillin twice daily, is the recommended treatment. The patient has to be informed about the treatment's side effects. Additionally, the patient should be congratulated for quitting smoking and advised on how to continue doing so.
