Natures Dice Assignment -
Use this table to score gels for each individual 1-24, then determine the genotype (e.g. Dd or use sex chromosomes as in XdY if sex linked) of each individual and then complete the pedigree (in the lab doc) and answer the questions below.

Selective marking to genotype determinations (last column) may be used.
Questions -
1. What mode of inheritance is demonstrated by the pedigree? (e.g. autosomal dominant or recessive, X-linked recessive or dominant?)
2. Are there any anomalies in the pedigree? An anomaly is a situation that we would not expect to occur e.g. getting a homozygous recessive baby from parents who do not carry the recessive allele. Answer Yes or No.
3. If there are anomalies where does it (or they) occur and briefly explain what the anomaly is. Use the numbering system (1-24) as indicated on the pedigree when answering.
4. If there was an anomaly how might it (or they) be explained? Note there could be several explanations that could account for the anomaly(ies). These explanations may not necessarily be about genetics!
5. Does the restriction enzyme BAMHI produce sticky or blunt ends?
6. What is the restriction site for BAMHI? (i.e. between what adjacent pair of nucleotides, e.g. is it between G and C or some other pair?)
