1. From your experience and the readings, is progress different if we consider "diversity" in the workplace versus "inclusion" in the workplace? How do you measure each?
2. What makes for the 'perfect' Canadian workplace?
3. Does the level of discrimination in the Canadian workforce surprise you?
4. If asked in a job interview "What does EDI mean to you?", how would you answer? What factors should be included to characterize a response as a meaningful one?
5. Another question that might be asked in an interview is "What is the most challenging aspect of working in a diverse and equitable environment?" Again, how would you answer and how should the interviewer evaluate the responses?
6. Divide into small groups and design a series of questions that establish the organization's credentials regarding EDI. In addition, discuss what might be the "best" responses to those questions from an interviewee.
7. In different small groups, design an advertising campaign that demonstrates a hypothetical organization's commitment to EDI. This particular advertisement will be a full page in major Canadian newspapers.
