The Prospanica conference provides students of business and STEM programs, the opportunity to interact with employers from Fortune 500 companies for possible employment and internship opportunities. This year the Conference and Career Expo will take place in Houston, Texas at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Students will be flying out early morning on Thursday, September 29, 2016 and returning late evening of Sunday, October 2, 2016.
The NEIU Prospanica Chapter is accepting applications for 10 subsidized slots for students to attend the upcoming conference. If interested, complete the application below.
A $50 non-refundable fee is due by August 1, 2016 for those students who are selected to go. This fee covers the conference, conference meals, flights, and hotel stay. Students are responsible for any additional expenses such as extra meals not included at the conference. Also, participants are required to give back to the NEIU community and volunteer at least 4 hours of their time for our Etiquette Gala fundraiser and/or our COBM annual food drive events in the fall.
For the benefit of the students, we highly recommend they devote several hours of preparation time for this conference by attending Prospanica meetings in the fall, getting they resume reviewed, and going through at least one mock-interview before the conference.
