IoT will impact many peoples in different ways. People are using IoT based health devices, smart homes, etc.

Besides many benefits there are some risks which may harm to patient's safety and health if unauthorized access to such IoT devices.

Health IT professional should address that increased flow of data many brings risks on people's safety.

The main purpose of this article is to integrate the health care system into a smart home, which will empower the arrangement of high-quality treatment, low cost and effortlessly available care to the consistently expanding population, especially to the elderly, disabled and suffering people. The authors of this article proposed a risk-based adaptive authentication mechanism model to integrate e-health technology into a smart home.

What are 2-3 key points or findings this article presents?

Key points in this article are that the integration of e-health system in a smart home which is provided with the use of wearable sensor nodes, actuators, and wireless communication technologies, which is referred to as wireless body area network (Gebrie& Abie, 2017).

Another key point of this article is that the authors focus on the adaptive authentication, which is referred as an authentication solution that ceaselessly screens and investigates the changing environment and adjusts its solution dynamically.

What is the significance of the study?

The main significance of this study is to solve the problem regarding the security concerns while integrating e-health technology in the smart home. The problems and risks related to a login attempt, loss of information, hacking, impersonation, and extraction of information can be solved with the proper utilization of authentication framework.

The methodology used in this article is qualitative because this article is based on the risk-based adaptive authentication mechanism which continuously monitors the channel characteristics variation, analyzes a potential risk using naïve Bayes machine learning algorithm and performs an adaptation of the authentication solution (Gebrie& Abie, 2017).

Yes, the author chose the right methodology to answer his research question because discussion as authentication and access control can be better analyzed with qualitative explanation rather than quantitative explanation.
