Consider a mass of 20Kg on the left and another 10kg on the right connected by a rope and being pulled to the right with an acceleration of 0.5 m/s^2. What is the tension on the right rope? Book answer is 25N calculated as follows: Tension on left rope is 10N because Fnet=Ftension(20kg) (why?) Tension on right rope is 25N which is Fnet=Ftension(10kg) - Ftension(10kg) (why?) or 15 + 10 Please explain book answer and tension equations.
