Assignment:

I am in nursing school and trying to learn fluid and electrolyte (sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium and chloride) ! What is the physiology behind the electrolytes? Why calcium and magnesium are similar but inverse with phosphate? Why sodium has inverse relationship with potassium? Why magnesium and potassium are similar? I have studied them each and know what happens to body if one is less or too much, but still struggling with why some of these have similar and some have inverse relationship with each-other!
