Researchers were interested in whether attending a weekly organizational meeting affects employee job satisfaction. They found a large corporation and identified two branches similar in function and number of employees. One of the branches were instructed to hold weekly organizational meetings; the other branch was instructed to not hold weekly organizational meetings. After 6 months, employees of these branches were given the job satisfaction survey.
