You know that they have been unhappy with their relationship with their spouse and have been helping them to process their feelings about their relationship. One day, your client confesses that they have started cheating on their spouse. You find yourself getting very angry with your client. You make several disapproving comments, and your client gets quiet and eventually changes the topic. The session ends early, and you begin questioning whether you can continue to see your client.
