You are attempting to set a world record for motorcycle jumping across a chasm. The chasm is 100 feet across and ½ mile deep. There is level ground on the take off side and this is 10 feet lower than the level ground on the landing side of the chasm. You construct an earthen take off ramp which is at an angle of 30 degrees above the horizontal. You (together with your protective clothing) weigh 250 lbs. The motorcycle weighs 1500 lbs. What is the minimum speed (speedometer reading) you must attain at take off to insure that you land safely on the opposite side of the chasm.
